Chess

The Chess group is open to both beginners and intermediate players. While intermediate players can enjoy serious games, beginners will help each other learn about the game and its strategies. Both groups will meet on Wednesdays, at the Labour Club on 3 North Street, 11am to 1pm.  Our first meeting of the autumn will be on 16th September.  That meeting will be for everyone.  We will then alternate between intermediate players and beginners, so that Intermediate players will meet, in the coming three months, on 23rd September, 8th and 22nd October, 5th and 19th November, and 3rd December.  The Beginners will meet on 1st, 14th, and 29th October, 12th and 26th November, and 10th December.  

Beginners are welcome to come to the Intermediate sessions to watch and learn; intermediate players are welcome to Beginners sessions to give advice.
